Dr. Mahmoud Messerer
Dr. Mahmoud Messerer is a FMH neurosurgeon, Privatdozent, teacher and clinical researcher at the University of Lausanne.
He finished his training at the CHUV in Lausanne after having started is specialization in neurosurgery at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire of Rennes and the Hospices Civils of Lyon in France.
Immediately attracted by endoscopic and skull base surgery, he specialized in hypothalamic-pituitary and skull base pathologies by achieving numerous workshops and benefiting from the teaching of leading specialists.
Between 2014-2015, he then achieved a sub-specialization in intramedullary tumors surgery at the University Hospital of Bicêtre in Paris where he was appointed as Associate Professor at the University of Paris Sud.
He also specialized in pediatric neurosurgery after training in this area at the Necker Hospital in Paris and the Boston Children’s Hospital at Harvard University in the USA.
